Johnny Winter was my first guitar hero. In fact the very first concert I ever attended was Saturday March 13th, 1971 at the Fillmore East with Johnny Winter And headlining. Leading on for Johnny was Elvin Bishop and The Allman Brothers Band. In fact, the Allmans recorded for their Live At The Fillmore album that night. That was the night Duane Allman became my second guitar hero.
I still pinch myself today thinking of that night. And now, once again, the memories bring tears to my eyes.
